Who we are
SmartAcess is operated by SEAMLESHUB TECHNOLOGIES LTD, Nigeria. We provide identity verification services: NIN and BVN checks, printable verification slips, and help with record updates.
Using a check lawfully
Look up a NIN, BVN or phone number only when you have a lawful reason and, where the law requires it, the consent of the person it belongs to. Before every check we ask you to confirm this, and we record that confirmation with the time, your account and your IP address. Misuse — for example tracing a person without a lawful reason — ends your account and may be reported to the authorities.
What we collect about you
- Your name, email address and phone number, to run your account.
- Your sign-in activity and IP address, to keep the account secure.
- Wallet payments and the checks you buy, as receipts.
What we keep from a check, and for how long
The result of a check (details and photo) is encrypted and kept only for a short retention period, so you can download the slip again. After that it is deleted automatically. We keep only the receipt — the service, a masked number such as 2234*89, the price and the time — and our audit record of who did what.
How we protect it
- Personal data is encrypted at rest; numbers are masked in lists.
- Photos and slips are served through private links that expire within minutes.
- Personal data is never written to our logs.
- Every staff action that touches money or personal data is recorded in an audit log that cannot be edited.
Who we share it with
Only the licensed data providers that answer each check; SeamlesPay, our payment partner, which receives your name, email and phone number when you ask for a funding account number, and tells us about transfers into it; and authorities where the law requires. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to processing, or complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Contact us through support to exercise any of these.
Wallet and payments
You top up by bank transfer to your own account number. The full amount you send is added to your wallet; we pay the transfer fee. Money in your wallet is used to pay for services. A check that fails because of our provider is refunded to your wallet automatically.
